Club LaunchFeb 2, 2019 Atlas SiteFebruary 2nd (Happy Groundhog’s Day!) at the ATLAS SITE. The current weather forecast, subject to change, predicts comfortable winter temps and favorable, light wind conditions for flying. Range and waiver are expected to be ready for operation starting at 9 AM and lasting until 3 PM or until we run out of motors, lose interest or the weather chases us away, whichever happens first. Club LaunchAug 11, 2018 North SiteAh, what an awesome day! 27 different flyers put up a total of 69 flights (31 Class One 38 Class Two) including L2 Cert for Scott Dukes and L1 re-cert for Warren Musselman, Michael Huber’s 20,000′ long burn L, Steve Clapp 100′ rainbow streamer and Bob Steinke’s Vmax Moment of Inertia Mach shot and recovery. Green prairie for August – looks positive for Ofest. |

Mile High MayhemJune 1-3, 2018 North SiteRough calculations have been made, and MAYHEM really did happen. Over the three clear and sun drenched days, a total of somewhere over 60 different fliers put up something like 241 flights (145 Class One, 96 Class Two), including a few L1 Certifications, a Jr. L1 Certification, 6 M powered flights and 2 N powered flights. Huge thanks to Colin Apke , William Bussell and David Pinter for excellent service as LCO’s and Pad Managers and to everyone that helped with set up and the end of an epic weekend cleanup. |

NCR *North Site* Launch
Saturday November 7, 2026
Good news from the USFS: we are approved to launch at the Main launch site this weekend, November 7th, rather than at the Atlas site.
The ARP team has no current conditions concerns, though typical cautions and considerations related to the permit apply. The prairie remains fragile and combustible – NO SPARKIES ALLOWED. In the event of any fire on the range, all launch activities will cease until the fires are completely extinguished and it is determined if it is safe for us to continue.
GO FOR LAUNCH SATURDAY ONLY, from the North Site. We anticipate having the range set up and ready by 9 AM and we’ll operate until 4 PM.
Weather forecast looks good for a great day.
NCR is an Authorized Permitee of the Pawnee National Grassland. A morning orientation briefing for participants will be held and will include a discussion of safety and emergency procedures, fire conditions and instruction, applicable rules and regulations, and what is expected of participants with regards to the use of NFS lands under our special use permit.
Please note that all launch events will be conducted using nationally approved/accepted range safety practices. The launching of rockets on NFS land is normally prohibited under Forest Service Region 2 fire regulation. The issuance of NCR’s permit allows launches to take place by exempting the Holder from that regulation for approved launch events only. All launches, other than those conducted by the Holder during approved launch events, are outside the scope of this permit and are prohibited by Forest Service regulations.
As always, volunteers are needed to help with range set up, operation and clean up. Hope to see you out on the range.

NCR Atlas Launch
Saturday December 5, 2026
Please be advised that the Northern Colorado Rocketry Club (NC) is planning a launch event for multiple Class Two unmanned rockets on Saturday, December 5th, 2026, from the Atlas Site. Hours of operation 9AM until 4 PM local, 1600 to 2300 Zulu.
This launch opportunity will be for up to and including K impulse, and all flights must remain under the 12,000’ AGL ceiling.
