Yeah, that should work for tracking. It’s a scanner, so you’re only receiving and not transmitting, but that’s o.k. for radio direction finding.

I use a Kenwood TH-F6 for radio location with an arrow antenna. The kenwood is probably over kill but receives just about everything, AM, FM – wide & narrow, CW, USB, and LSB. I use it for a satellite rig… Read more»

There are two other fairly cool APODS that came up in the last week or so (at least from my perspective)… http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap100821.html was taken from the Pawnee National Grasslands… and today’s http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/astropix.html was taken from a spot that my wife… Read more»
