I’m getting a brand new CTI dual thrust M motor – it has one grain of Vmax and 4 of Imax, IIRC. It should give 1 second at 600lbf, followed by 4 seconds at 250lbf. Should be a lot of… Read more»

I have been told that a manufacturer-approved tapered aft closure/nozzle is available for 38mm reloads on request; they start with a standard closure/nozzle and turn it down. Here’s the thread for the I350, it’s kinda new, but it seems like a… Read more»

You mean the AT350? It’s been out for awhile. The new full I from CTI (I216) should beat it, though, if you don’t mind the lack of a forward closure.Speaking of which, I want two of those (I216) with a… Read more»

Interesting. Regardless of how fast a powder burns uncontained, how it’s packed, how much it’s milled (particle size), etc., you never really know how it’ll perform until you test it in a moter. Great data! Thanks!

Yes! I tested them at 3 different KN values. I got an ‘a’ number of .305 and a ‘n’ number of .01 .I used potassium nitrate that I got from a co-op. These number were obtained with non-milled potassium nitrate…. Read more»
