Like Dave, I launched in Feb, similar met conditions – a J210 in my PML Miranda, 5.9 lb actual weight on the pad, 48″ chute – RockSim said 7000+ft. Fortunately had a dog collar on board. Went a lot further… Read more»

Rocksim says about 7,000 ft, I was probably under that due to added weight and not so hot aerodynamics. Last I saw it, it was coming down just to the right of the first set of double trees that run… Read more»

BEAR,What about the land near the gravel pits on Strauss Cabin (east of Zigler and Horsetooth) They have a huge berm built up from the excavation and I think you could fly on the west side and be well screened… Read more»
