There are piston guys in the club (JW, Warren M., Doug Gerrard, etc.), and those who don’t use pistons because they can bind. I’m a *huge* fan of pistons. Much depends on the airframe, but I have used glass airframes… Read more»

I tend to go the other way – main out the nose, drogue from the middle. This is because the nose cone, being one of the lightest components of the rocket, is less likely to come off in the shock… Read more»
