I would agree with Conway. Rough it up with 40 grit and wrap a layer of 5 or 6oz. glass over it. You may not want to overlap the glass though, depends on the thickness.Art

I would wrap it in fiberglass and laminate it to the proper size or just a hair larger then sand it to fit. It will make it stronger and the right size.

There were 3 XB-70’s built, one went down in flames during a photo shoot when another aircraft got sucked into it’s vortex and clipped a wing.Warren

I don’t recall seeing the new “white bird” in the museum. But I did see the Sr71 next to the stealth bomber and fighter.

I think the undisputed KING of the Dayton museum is the XB-70 Valkyrie. They only built two http://www.labiker.org/xb70.html Right beneath theXB-70 is a B58 Hustler, which was very cool as well (though much more common).I have two books on Valkyrie… Read more»

Or detour to southeast Kansas and visit the Cosmosphere. Best collection of Ruskie space hardware and old war/cold war relics around. And as I recall, there’s an Imax theater to help beat the heat.

I believe at Offut you can sit down in an old retired missile control room with your finger on the button and the key in hand.Warren

On your back to Colorado, check out the Strategic Air Command Museum at Offutt Air Force Base westside of Omaha, Nebraska. Doesn’t compare to the Wright-Patterson Base National Museum but is absolutely worth the vist.

To throw more confusion into the long burns. I helped Gary and Karl take the 75mm long burn apart and I can remember Karl holding up the nozzle to show Gary how much it eroded. And as I recall it… Read more»

I’m thinking it means 4of them at .256″ 4M = 4 Medusa??? That would seem more likely. Though not a whole lot of area.Edward

0.256″ x 1 does NOT seem doable for an M. No way, no how…Maybe it’s using old jetex fuel. 🙂 A nozzle throat 6 1000ths over a quarter inch for an M, even if it has many openings? 1500′ isn’t… Read more»

I’ll definitely be looking out for it at LDRS – I’m quite interested in it. If you look at the drawings though, it certainly implies that only the central hole should be open.It states in the drawing that the nozzle… Read more»
