This could be a very good contest to run. I’m interested. Let’s see what kind of interest we have and we’ll run it as a contest at MHM or Oktoberfest. Call it “1 card Rocket Stud” or something.Warren

If we do this contest, I’ll enter SkyScraper, and 18,000′.Regarding altimeter repeatability… I recently threw all of mine in a chamber. I had 4 PerfectFlites and 2 MW. I was stunned at how close they all came out. I expected… Read more»

JW,I think I’d as soon go to a Cheetah girls concert. Its not w/o engineering challenge: but the idea of trusting an altimeter to be more accurate than the repeatibility of a particular rocket, I don’t buy into. To be… Read more»

Heck yeah, I think I’ll enter on every flight! Seriously, it would be worth it to enter $10 to bet on the accuracy of my Rocksim abilities. 😀 ha!

I’ve pulled it into Excel, but the baro data is really noisy for pulling derivatives for velocity and accel. Anyone got a spreadsheet with some good smoothing or curve-fitting algorithms in it?Excel does curve fitting. After you plot your raw… Read more»

I fly the PerfectFlite MAWD quite often, and yes — it was in a conical nosecone in a rocket that coresampled, and the altimeter is fine. Incredible. I also like the PerfectFlite HA45 (Hi-altitude, 45K). It works great for regular… Read more»
