Historically speaking, flights which exceed the waiver must be reported at the waiver minus 5′ so that there is nothing in writing to implicate the flyer or the club in violating an FAA waiver. Therefore, you can’t win the SSSS… Read more»

Well you kicked John’s butt with that altitude… however, the rules are the bird had to be returned by close of waiver on the day the bird is launched so you DQ’d… However, you definitely had the maximum returned altitude…. Read more»

well i layed down some fiber and some 20 min epoxy on the fins that should hold them well. aerosleeving is too much weight we are going for records here lol (my own personal record)i think it will hold G10… Read more»

Personally I would use G10 for the fin cores and slot them into the airframe, then run 1 or more layers of glass or carbon tip to tip across the entire fin. I’ve done some spectacular shreds on Machbusters I’ve… Read more»

I’ve flown my Hypertek without a single problem. Biggest bitch was mounting up the fill stem assembly to the rail I was using and getting it all tweaked in so in moved freely when the tie-downs melted through. Flew the… Read more»

I use the Skyripper system (SRS) 38mm and 29mm engines. I have never used the Hypertek. I think the The Skyripper and Ratt very similar and mechanically are very simple. They both require Pyrotechnic to ignite where as the Hypertek… Read more»
