I prefer tempered (AKA spring) steel. Stiff, and the reason I like it is that if it does bend, it springs back easily (it doesn’t stay bent), so that overall, it maintains a straighter launch rod over time. If you… Read more»

Been a while since I thought about rod material, isn’t cold rolled steel the material of choice. Plenty of metal places stock it.JS

Batman,Chris has a very nice and pricey PML piece IIRC which has the additional feature of a remove before flight pole.But besides scoping out other installs much is to be found on the www. Google e-bay and rocket or something…. Read more»

Very nice altimeter choice :DI use one, and it hasn’t failed me yet. Very easy, very reliable. I can’t be there on June 10, but good luck with your altimeter adventures 8)

normal FAA waiver is 6,000 feet AGL, with a high altitude window of 14,200 feet AGL available upon request.
