I wasn't being cruel. Conway was trying to sell of much of his rocketry stuff a few years ago just as I was getting into it and I saved a bunch of money by buying a couple altimeters, a motor case and a pile of random other rocketry stuff from him. I'm still flying that 1750 case and will be at MHM - hopefully with a Skidmark load.

I'd hope my stuff was getting good use if I couldn't use it anymore.

I agree - if I sold a bunch of stuff, and I was getting out of it, I'd rather it get used than sit around collecting dust.

First i read Chuck Cummings out of texas is reentering the hobby after less than a years hiatus with dreams of a space shot, and now this. Suggests to me that rocketry is like malaria--intermittent remissions but the fever will always strike again....Remind me not to sell my stuff for at least 6 months.

Rocketry is an addiction: you can quit, but it will never leave your mind 🙂

I don't think I'll quit though. I may cut back sometimes due to money, but I don't think I'll quit.

I talked to Joe (@ hobbytown) the other day - he's expecting 10 H999's sometime during the week. I can call him back later in the week to see if he has any more news, but as of right now, it looks good. I'll pay for $10 of the cost if you'll throw one in your pink small endeavour 😆

According to him, they haven't shipped yet, but are in production and basically ready to ship (talked to AT today), but then again, some places show them as in stock so overall, who knows...

Maybe he'll get them, or maybe wildman will have them. If not, then oh well, but I really want to see some W9 🙂

Any new loads for the 54/1706 motor case?

Not yet (that I know of). I'm hoping for a K3000 though 😆

Welcome back Conway - and I want to thank you for selling me all that rocketry stuff you did back when you stepped out of the hobby. I've had some good flights on that AMW 1750 case you sold me and I've used pretty much everything else as well.

Sorry for the so long to reply Warren. I just was looking at this and saw it. WOW. I was in the hospital that week and have been home ever since under home nurse care. But thanks for the welcome back and I am glad that you have gotten good use from the stuff I have sold. (and I didnt take it as Cruel or funny actually very respectfully said!!)

As far as getting out of rocketry.. Not a chance. I think once the bug has bit you have an uncurable illness that can never be tamed. my only problem now is that I just want more then I did before LOL. And I now have a Teen that can get into doing some HPR things herself. Looks like i actually kept my membership with TRA and nar up to date and reupped before it expired and am still an L2 cert. so thats good news. So here comes my anoucment that At Octoberfest (as long as all goes as planned) I plan to do my L3 Cert on a 6"diam. all glass 14' tall Rocket capable of a 48" long 98mm motor. I will probably use the M2500GG AMW load to cert with. Also I have comming up some flights from my new all glass Talon4. so I have a lil stuff to do. Not sure when I can make a next launch BUT i pressing for sooner then later. Now how about more motor info.
