One problem with drag racing 2 or 3 K660s is making sure everyone uses different tracking. We should put our heads together at the meeting to see who is wanting to do what.
We also need to have ideal conditions from a moisture standpoint, which seems probable now. Whattamess if we started three fires in three different directions :-O
BTW, I have a set of hardware for the K660, so I won't need to borrow your's Tim. Saves a set for someone else
I'm also planning on flying SkyScraper on the M900 (RATT) at MHM.
I'm not sure about other beacons, but the Beeline looks like it can be set to many different channels. That could definitely help...
If it could happen, this could be one of the most spectacular things at mayhem. Not that any of them would be visible for long 😆
8) Chris, maybe after your skids at LDRS, we should load a pair of K660 in the Deuce! 8)
Heh...
I was actually leaning towards K1275 redlines for Oktoberfest. The idea of the hard-hitting full K with the red flame sounds really fun 😀
We'll see though - whatever happens, it'll be fun 😎
As for the pro54 K660, it's a hair longer than my rocket was really sized for - we'd have to see whether it fits (mine was sized for the Aerotech 2560 case). Could be fun sometime if it does fit...
Tim, have any J125's?
8) Ken I don't stock that motor. I did a little looking around. Quite the little burner. 54MM 1202n (88%) J Looks to have some nice poop to it. 50lb. of thrust @ 3,0 sec. 20lb.@5.0 sec. total burn time close to 9sec. I am getting a large Aero order together, I will add a few to the list. Has anyone flown this load? Comments? 8)
They still make the J125?
I didn't think it was still available - though the 135 is a nice substitute...
If you can get your hands on a 125, it would be spectacular 😀 Almost a 10 second burn 😀
Tim,
I'd love to try the J125. I have an I65 I plan to fly at MHM as well. Been hanging onto that for a while....Now I have the perfect rocket for it.

JW,
I'll be using Bee Line GPS and beacon. As chris suggests, the GPS can be set anywhere between 430 and 450 MHz, the beacon I believe is on a fixed UHF around 430. I'll check on that before the meeting.

I wasn't sure if AT still made them. If you can get one or two I'd love to fly them. If not, I guess I'll have to settle on a K185 🙁
See you at the annual meeting.
I know you can get K250's now, but they're about the priciest K motors around ($200-$250). Wonderful though, as a 10 second full K.
The K250 is now something like an 82% K. It used to be a very full K, but when it was recertified, they went to the lower impulse.
I believe I may have flown the last full K250 in captivity last fall. It was cool, though it chuffed a bit off the pad. This particular motor was something like 10 years old. The flight simmed to about 25K, but I ended up with a shade under 21K. I was sad and happy at the same time - sad I didn't get the 25K, and happy because clean recovery over 20K is *tough*.

JW, I remember seeing that flight, and it was very impressive. 🙂
Agreed, and now that you mention it, I think you're right - it's an 80something percent K now. Because of that, I seriously doubt the current K record will fall anytime soon...
Still a cool motor though 😎
which makes the Loki K350 priced at around 100 dollars on discount at 2374N-s (85percent K)--a real bargain in my view.
