What are the safety rules for installing ignitors for multi-staging and air starts?
I understand the downsides of walking up to the pad with an ignitor already installed in the sustainer stage but installing it at the pad can be quite involved with rocket and motor assembly required.
I installed my sustainer and 3 airstarts igniters at the pad. It took quite a while and possibly backed up the line, but I thought that was the rule (real or not) for motors G and up. I could see how this would be a serious pain for a staged rocket. There was a huge debate over this on the old TRF. I don't see it as very likely that anything is going to spontaneously ignite. Just keep your ematch wires twisted (shorted) if they're really sensitive.
