sad to lose someone i admired, but at 90 it sounds like he lived a rich, full life. i hope i'm so lucky!

The first movie I was ever allowed to watch alone at the movie
theater was 2001 A Space Odessey. Phoenix AZ in 1972. Had
to go alone because no one I was friends with at the time nor
my parents thought it was worth seeing.

I came from a disfuctional family. 😆

If You ever get a chance to see it on a big screen....do so.

actually we did finally watch it. and i saw you at the meeting tuesday night. and snuck around all evening hoping you wouldn't notice me since i forgot to bring it! i'll get it to you soon ...

We just watched "2010" again last week. I liked that a lot more than "2001". Roy Scheider, John Lithgow... great cast. Highly recommended! I was pleasantly surprised at how well the movie aged.

Amen! Poor HAL... 😯 I remember studying the film in film class as an English major in '73 or so... Kubrick, what a director! 2001 and Dr. Strangelove! Yeeeeeha!
