There are two other fairly cool APODS that came up in the last week or so (at least from my perspective)... http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap100821.html was taken from the Pawnee National Grasslands... and today's http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/astropix.html was taken from a spot that my wife and I stood on a couple of years ago, when we visited Australia. We have essentially the same photo from the same pullout, though ours was taken in daylight.

BTW, if you look through the ring of Hoag's object (the photo that started this link), you can see a SECOND "Hoag's Object" in the distance - it is at ~1 O'clock in the photo. For many years, there were only two of these known - and they were in line with each other. Hmmmmnnnn....
