The first tropical storm of the Atlantic hurricane season has just been named Adrian. I bet the northern Colorado Adrain can get a bird higher than the tops of a tropical storm or hurricane. They normally do not exceed 50,000 feet. 😆
and he'd only need a J motor to do it 😉
Given that Adrian broke 14K with an H motor, I wouldn't be surprised. Amazing what a professional can do when they put their mind to it. I'm still kinda stunned by the H flight - I heard the beeps myself... stunning. Gives me a great deal of confidence in the group project he, I and John Wilke have built - now if we can only all get to BALLS at the same time, I fully expect to hit the predicted altitude.
Warren and Adrian, tell us more about this group project for those of us that do not know! I thought it rather impressive to have a tropical storm named after you. A poor second I am sure, though.
Thanks, Bear.
And storm turned into a Category 4, annular hurricane, apparently pretty rare. And it didn't even hurt anybody! Woo hoo!.

I've been trying and failing to get a combination of 3 Js over 50kft the last couple of years at Balls. One of these years, hopefully. Not this year, though, because of LDRS.
As a reminder, send a rocket between 40k and 50k at LDRS with less certified impulse than anyone else and win a Raven and 38mm av-bay!
