Dave Way and myself had a great time up at Hartsel over the last weekend. Saturday there was a little light wind, there were launches all day. Sunday was a blowout... We still had a great time. I was able to get my 4" Nike Smoke up on a 75MM L585 Imax. GREAT boost to around 10,000 ft. Everything went ok until it landed on the top rail of the gate. It now has a 1 1/2 " shark bite out of one of the fins! As a side note, on the way home we stopped for lunch and we noticed the dust had stuck to 8 bear paw prints on the back and side windows of the Subaru. 😯 We were camped in the middle of the campground. He had to walk thru several other camps to get to us. From the prints, I think he liked Daves Iris the best! 😀
Pity Dave didn't try his L2 on Saturday - the bear would have probably left you guys alone. And the drunks around the campfire would have had more to talk about. Great time!
Doggone it! I may beg for a ride from you the next time, Joe. I DO work for the gas!
