Just wondering how the Saturday launch went?
Hi Mike-
Steve Jensen, Max Haynes & I arrived on scene about 0950 to find a sparse and dedicated group in chilly but calm conditions with a very high cloud deck. Not a lot of big flights, and those that went up didn't land far away. The Atlas site experienced a cactus boom over the summer and trudging across the tundra was a bit clumsy. Steve jensen tossed up a big H in "Oops" for a successful test of his Big Red Bee, Maxwell added three flights to his credit and I had a nice flight with "F Bomb" followed up with textbook shot from the ageing war horse "Phat Killer Too" on a pilfered H152. We were done just after 1300 or so and after packing up we retired to the Bison Breath for a burger with Mr. Hinton in tow. If not for the clouds it would have been perfect conditions. The flights we witnessed were all good with one exception, the Demons were on safari elsewhere.
