Ken, the "news" said 6:41PM and from the NW to the SE. I missed it. It was visible again tonight at 5:52PM, and I missed it yet again. And stop making fun of my white, untanned legs from Oktoberfest! 🙄

VERY sorry I missed it. I have 10x the money invested in astronomy that I have in HPR. Just haven't gotten the stuff out in years, except for a hefty set of binoculars.

Bruce, we'll get you to the N site some moonless evening and you'll get the bug again... Now that I'm baaaaaaaack, I hope to get the scopes out often! I built a 16" Dobsonian that has spent more than a few nights out at the N. site.

MHM is on a "dark" (moonless) weekend. As I won't have much time to work on rockets for a while, I think I'll plan to do some serious stargazing at MHM. The galaxy viewing that time of year is extraordinary!

Now if I can just find the eyepieces, etc. I'll be doing good. The move has been an adventure!

I built a 16" Dobsonian that has spent more than a few nights out at the N. site.

I haven't looked through a 16" Dob since '91-'92. Amazing views! Sounds like a plan, John. I may even bring my stuff, only have one planned flight. The rest of the time I'll help the club and others, and Tim Thomas. I'll find my lenses if you can't find yours. 😉
