We'll see what Joe says, but in general we ask for the dates high altitude windows when we apply for the waiver in November/December of the year before. Since we've had the windows, we generally ask for MHM, the mid-July launch and O'fest.

Warren is pretty much spot on with this. The "windows" we have been blessed with for/on specific dates are requested and submitted at the time the waiver is renewed. For the November launch, not going to happen. 20,000' AGL is what we've got. For next years windows, all I can say is Ongoing negotiations....please be patient...paperwork in the works. I'm optimistic but.... As for the calendar, looks to me like our web page calendar says North site - the google calendar might have it wrong. But even our calendar is subject to change, dependant on the weather and the whim of the USFS.

Roger that on the waiver. In that case I'll be flying the I600 (I still owe the pot $20), the I216, or maybe both if the first recovery goes well.

I just checked the google calendar and it shows north, Dec shows Atlas. Did someone fix it?

We're up to about almost foot of snow down here in Highlands Ranch so far. I assume the snow will have to melt off of the road to the pad, among other things, for the November launch to happen?

We've got about 12" here in Fort Collins, but with the weekend and early next week in the 50's and 60's, I don't think we'll have a problem with snow!

A bit of snow would be good for skidmarks....no fire hazard!

If the snow would lay down the grass a little, that would be great. Hard to find a small rocket out there this fall. I'd like to launch my SSS F60 shot.

Sometimes in the snow it can be easier to spot a rocket. Good contrast. But walking through it can be a pain.

Strange weather pattern - my office is between Greeley and Windsor, and they got maybe an inch there. We got 7-8" in Windsor, but as you go west there is a LOT more snow. I wonder what they may be getting up near the launch site?

It was coming down pretty hard there yesterday, or at least in Pierce... Lots of wind a big snow drifts. I will know more tonight when I see my boss, assuming he makes it down.....
But, they are calling for 60* on Sunday, so I really hope it's not a mud hole up there next weekend.

I'm bringing two rockets for the attempt. So if I botch the first attempt I can try again in rocket 2. Is this allowed? Or is there a waiting period between attempts?

Hopefully, I will not be getting a mud sample...

You are allowed as many attempts as you have rockets/money.
