Honestly, I won't trust any forecasts until Wednesday or so. I know that they post 10 day forecasts, but the odds of them actually being correct seem pretty slim.

The jet stream associated with that big trough predicted to move Eastward slowly, through the weekend, so it looks pretty good for the high altitude shots, especially in the early days of the launch. But as a reminder, you only have to go about 1.5 miles North to leave the Pawnee National Grassland and go onto fully private property. I have Mr. Wagner's number, and so doe Joe, in case anyone needs to retrieve a rocket from up there. He insists on (and deserves) a call to ask for permission for rocket retrieval.

The radar says the North site got pummeled by a storm tonight, with about an inch of rain.

We had a very severe storm come through Windsor and it headed exactly at the N site. There were several funnel clouds up around Nunn. The rain was intense, I sure would not be surprised if an inch fell...

Things were pretty saturated up at the North Site this afternoon, though rapidly drying out. There was a significant muddy area on Rd 45 headed north to the launch site before dropping off the hill when I went in at 2 and it was much more solid when I left at 4. Ground is damp, but drying rapidly. I would expect mosquitos though.
