I am 30 minutes and 45 miles from the north launch site here in Wellington, CO and we have been getting nice sustained drizzles. I know winter is over and building will have to slow down because I have to break out the mower, weedeater, and other implements of destruction to work on the agriculture. such a waste of my valuable building time. I will probably have to paint the house also. Anybody want to help. I have beer and smoked barbque.

It has been raining here in Northglenn for a couple hours, as of 9:30. On the radar looks like the grass lands should be receiving the same. Grow grass Grow!

I was just looking at weather.com, and for the first time in quite a while, the rainfall for this month in Nunn is substantially above average 😀

Not to mention the May 7 Saturday launch on the calendar. Hopefully we'll hear about some green popping up at the north site in the next week or so. I know my lawn's weeds are springing up.

According to the excellent source Adrain posted a few weeks ago, http://www.wunderground.com/wundermap/ at station number 46; ( MNUNC2, lat. 40.87, lon. -104.73, elev. 5897') in the last six days that location has received .33" of rain. Since that is within 10 miles of the launch site, that might be a close approximation of the rainfall at the north site. See if you disagree.

Nothing heavy but we have had consistent spurts of precipitation down south in the Littleton area. I'm hoping the same is happening up north. Anyone care to venture a guess at the odds of getting to fly this weekend?

I went out to the launch site last Friday. The prairie is dry but starting to show signs of greening. A very little bit of moisture has been making an appearance and IF the weather patterns hold for this week, without drying winds blowing thru, we'll be GOOD TO GO on Saturday, May 7th. I'm planning on it. Current forecast is looking good.

It has rained VERY little out here on the grasslands. Lots of wind but little moisture. There was even a wicked thunderstorm with lightning I have not seen since being stationed in Missouri.

Radar shows 1/2" at the North site so far, with an inch to the East and West.

Shows rain over the north site still.

Somewhere between 0.5 to 1.0 inch by my guess by day's end.

Looks like about 0.7" storm total as of this Wednesday night. Not bad, though it won't last us through till Memorial Day I don't think.

It has rained about .8" here in Fort Collins, but we'll need several more days of rain like this if we want to lessen the fire danger. It only takes a single day of wind to erase and entire day of rain.
