It looks contrived, but this is a photo taken from Cassini. There is some tweaking of the colors to make them appear as the would to the naked eye, but it is the real deal.
APOD (astronomy picture of the day) is a great site. Every once in a while, you see a little AP get burned - like here http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap100209.html or my personal favorite - here http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap060124.html
