Like everyone needs another kool hobby. If you're into RC aircraft or have never seen/been to a fly-in, this is the weekend to experience the thrill and wonder. 9 AM to 5 PM Sat and Sun with pyro effects added for the fun of it for the noonish performance. Drake Field near Ault. Details can be found at http://www.warbirdsovertherockies.com/ but Leave your checkbook at home.
That is really fun. We went last year. My favs are the turbine jets but love most of the WWII stuff. One of these days I might get the nerve to fly my P51 Mustang, but Im a pretty poor pilot still.
Definatly worth checkin out
You going Joe? I might tool up there on Sunday.

Hmmmm...I built a large scale F-4U Corsair when I was living in NC but didn't have the courage to even put an engine in it it was so pretty so I sold it before moving out here. I have another much smaller more simplistic version sitting in my loft now; radio, motor (electric) and all that I figured would be better for learning to fly. I'll have to finish it up one of these days.
I may take a drive out to the event this weekend at some point to check it out. Thanks for posting this.
Went today for about three hours.
Very impressive.
Plains from Nam,Korea,WW2,WW1. Prop and jet. real cool.
I seen a couple other rocket people there. I will keep the secret.
I did save all my money for Tim and Others.
Many, many people. From many other states.
If We had that many spectators at a launch ,the Pawnee would never
be the same. (Meaning: an LDRS type launch)
Mike, wish I would have bumped into you today. Glad to hear you made it though.
