We put in a Web site update tonight that should address the spam issues that we've had. You'll may notice that captcha is now turned off for regular login. Most of the other changes aren't so obvious but the changes were all important. If anyone has trouble with the site - please speak up so we can address it.

I'm not sure I would call it trouble, but how about updating the photos on the front page a little more often?

Yay!
Thank you.
Sorry Doug. Biggest problem we have with changing the photo is for folks to send us photos to put up. I have some candidates, but with the upgrade to the latest PHPNuke, I've been holding off. I'll make the change before Oktoberfest.

Yep, that fat guy with the white rocket on the home page is getting a little outdated 8) I'll bet Doug has some nice shots? The one Doug G uses on his signature would look outstanding on the front page. Ed and Joe's Saturn V would be nice as well----

Use photo's from the photo album page. Or I bet Ray has one or two worth while. There is no shortage of photo's available.

LOVE the new photo - never been to a night launch and always wondered how it looks - sweet!
The only unfortunate part of night launching for us is that it is limited to G motors and below. I, for one, would love to see a night HPR launch - preferably with Skidmarks. It should be possible for a call-in window and it would definitely be impressive as hell for a few carefully selected birds to fly on a Friday or Saturday night during one of our two big events.
Joe?

Rather than a call in, I wonder what CTI's 29mm 3 grain G106 skidmark would look like at night?
A big Thanks!!!!! to MR Ed for hosting cleanup and the grilled dogs. We got it all done in short order. Thanks to all who were there and helped out. 🙂 Sherm... P>S> as for new site photo...Kadoos maybe change it every couple weeks... if that isn't too much trouble..
Very nice work on the Web site, guys!

Hmm. I'm not an expert at the legalities, but I think it's still classified a high power motor. I have read that skidmarks are not allowed for model rocket engines due to the rule against effects motors.
It would still be cool, though. Maybe I'm wrong about the above. 😉
ED, be sure to see Nadine's 3 skid night launch at the chili blaster. Simply put, the finest night shot EVER, bar none. When Jeroen, (from CTI) saw it, he ordered a framed poster size for the lobby at CTI. A work of art! 😀
Just checked out Nadine's site, Tim, and that is an amazing shot!

Night launch arrangements take more than a phone call - there are specific exemptions that need to be added to a waiver and a lot of extra legalities to deal with. Keeping flights to Class One and below is the smart, prudent and SAFE thing to do.
