While I haven't spoken directly to James or Art on this topic, I know that like me - they would appreciate knowing about any L3 cert attempts that may be in the works.
Last year we had a run of about a dozen certifications and it was nice to get out front of those things. The TAPs can help you with the documentation and overall process. It is important that you get a TAP before you do your build.
Thanks!
John,
I'm planning on doing my L3 at MHM - remember you're my TAP? I hope you didn't forget that already or we gotta worry about early senility! Just kidding - it would be fun to see the other projects people are planning for their L3s. Like I was saying about having a "Project Construction" heading we could follow all the builds people wanted to post and I bet a lot of us could learn from the other members suggestions, criticisms etc regarding our L3s.

I think for a TRA L3.... You have to have Your rocket inspected along or at particular construction steps..??
Is that correct?
I'm a couple years away. But one never knows.
Mike and Sean, you are both right. Yes, we need to take a peek before construction (which I did with Sean as he lives about 12,000' from me 😀 )
The first 98mm Mongoose I ever saw up-close-and-personal was Sean's. It is a horse. His construction is absolutely superb, as you probably saw in the links in his build thread. I feel like a hack when I see stuff like that! Nice!!!!!
As you know, I'm doing my L3 at Mayhem as well. I just got off the phone with Wildman, and the rest of my components should show up shortly. I'll make sure to let you know when I start construction.
