For anything beyond my Estes motors, I've always gone 100% through Tim, as I feel we NEED to support our onsite vendors.
Unfortunately, now AMW is stinging their distribution network with fire-sale pricing to get everyone hooked on AMW-ProX.
Trouble is, I WANT SOME ProX SKIDMARKS! I'd like to get 3 H123SK reloads for airstarts on my project for Oktoberfest. Is there anyone out there that has a LEUP that wants to go in on an order direct from AMW/ProX? Bigger orders have the same Hazmat charge, so the more people, the better on splitting that charge. I just have no way to (legally) store the motors until launch.
My backup plan is H143 Smokey Sams for the airstart. Not quite as cool, but readily available from Tim.
I don't want this to get into any rants about whether the AMW CTI deal was a good thing or not. I just want to keep local vendors and motor manufacturers BOTH in business. Without them, we're back to massive clusters of Estes motors (not that that isn't totally cool, too!)

Do keep in mind that unless it rains in the days leading to O'fest or during O'fest, Skids are not that likely to be OK to fly. After the last fire, Joe and I had a discussion where as a club we're inclined to ban them EXCEPT when it has just rained. If it's dry, they ain't gonna' fly. Besides, there are lots of better performing, more efficient propellants out there to fly. Skids are one step shy of fireworks. Pretty cool to look at, but they start grass fires better than any other propellant we've ever seen.

I can totally understand the fire danger. Would this still be in effect if the motors are being lit 1-2k feet up, or is it "across the board"? I've also heard that the titanium flake in the G-H skids is very fine, so not quite as good of show (or long burning sparks) as the big ones.
I was going for the effect of Justin's High Tension flight with airstarted skids. It just made the transition that much more noticeable. Smokies would do the same, transitioning from an I300T central.
My next bird will be much more performance oriented, though not min-diameter. 3" x ~6' with room for 3' of 54mm motor.
This one was built for "knob" flights!

I dont know!!! In Febuary at the Atlas sight, those Snow Drifts look pretty fire resistent. 😉
8) The ProX Skids will be for sale to all CTI vendors after the first of the year. Paul only has a 6months. 8)
I think airstarts are definitely not a problem. It's the ground starts that scare the crap out of me. If you're high enough that the sparklies of the lovely titanium chips don't hit the ground, I'd say it was good to go.
