I've noticed the lack of postings here recently and I figured all of you are frantically getting ready for Oktoberfest like me. So I thought I would take a moment to find out whats the status of, your rocket, the field, the weather, etc.
Things are looking good, but I still won't confirm that I will attend. Until the rocket is prepped, the equipment is check out, and the bills are paid I don't want to say I can attend. But I was wondering, when will the set-up be done, on Thursday?

If previous history is any indication, the launch trailer and equipment will show up by noon on Thursday and setup will be done that afternoon, weather permitting.
I'm not personally towing the trailer so I can't guarantee this and with myself and many other members of the exec comm going to BALLS, I would check with Joe Hinton (who is not going) to be sure.

I'm frantically finishing up my deuce - the fins just went on last night, get filleted tonight, then get tip to tip reinforcement during the week. The e-bay is close to finished as well, and it should get the wiring done tonight.
It should be ready, but it's definitely frantic.
Double checking my dual deployment(s)... I just love the smell of spent black powder. 😀
My L3 cert is getting primed and painted this week. and then thats it. Ive ground tested and all. just tie up the small stuff is all. I will be ready and so will my daughter.
I still have no idea what I'm flying. But I do know I'm flying something.

For a variety of unfortunate reasons, I will be unable to go to BALLS as planned and although I plan on attending Oktoberfest and doing at least 1 LCO and 1 RSO stint, I may not fly anything at all... then again I may. You never know.
