It's rained off and on here, with a steady rain for all of last night 🙂
I should really get out the moccassins, as I have an I315SK left over from LDRS, and want to fly it...
It's gorgeous outside! - a nice steady rain now here in Longmont for 48 hours+. I'm loving it... reminds me of the East. Nothing like a upslope storm to kill a drought...and a burn ban. If this monsoon keeps up, the August launch may yet happen.

48 hours +????? you have to be kidding! Ugh! I live about 35 miles (as the rocket flies) from the launch site. As of Saturday night at 8PM local time, Greeley/Ault/etc. hadn't gotten any measurable precip. Zippo. That said, at about 10 or 11PM last night it FINALLY started to rain, and it has rained a decent amount since.
Not sure how much has fallen at the launch site, but this storm hasn't dropped a lot of H2O very far east of the front range. We have missed a lot of the recent rains, at least at my house... A friend of mine drove from Laramie to Boulder yesterday, in rain all the way. We didn't get a drop of that....
Just talked to my neighbor... He has a functional rain gauge (I accidentally busted mine. Doh!) Anyway, he tells me that we got 0.75" of rain! It all fell since pretty late last night. Very nice, very steady. Just right.
The local radio station said that May and June total precip was 0.08" (which is nuthin') We did get a nice 5 minute cloudburst last week :-O and now 0.75". Mayhaps we fly in August????
At least this is a start! Keep it coming!
