All,
The Spring equipment cleaning day is this Sunday at my place south of Longmont. We will start at about 9:00 and should be done by noon. Coffee and bagels to be provided. (Maybe even a beer or too if the occaision presents itself)
There is plenty of parking in the side pasture west of the driveway and house. Like before, we will be back by the barn.
Let me know if you can make it (or if you need directions).
While I haven't missed a cleanup party since 2004, I may miss this Sunday. My wife had surgery last week and can't drive until she sees the surgeon on Friday. IF she can drive to work the following Monday, I will be at the party. Otherwise, I have to go to Grand Junction to work over the weekend. It is up in the air until Friday.

Clean Up at Mr Eds?

See you there.
I'm in.
There.
I'm going to miss the cleanup, but I have the mother of all excuses 8) I will be in Florida for THIS http://apnews.excite.com/article/20100511/D9FKRM981.html
Okay, that's THE BEST EXCUSE I've ever heard, JW! 😯

Plane leaves at 10:45 tomorrow!!
Incidentally, Sean S will also be viewing the launch. NASA, in a stroke of insensitivity, won't let Sean OR I LCO. Drat.
I wonder if there really IS a button that actually gets pushed to light a candle like that? Or are computers handling it right now? The countdown is underway as we speak...
Maybe since you're just a noob to them, you can get basic "pad manager" duties? 😛

Howdy,
Copy that, Ed. Will bring elbows.
I've been skydiving and drove my car down the drag strip, but im pretty confident having a seat in that cockpit would indeed take the cake!
Have fun John and Sean.
Perfect lunch! Kept looking for Sean or JW in the foreground. Oh, they were there taking it in... wonderful!
Not to hijack a thread, but I must tell you all about Atlantis. At T+8 hours.... I am still SPEECHLESS. It was extradordinary. I just don't know what else to say. My wife and I were on the causeway, about 6.5 miles away. Sean was at the visitor's center.
It was pretty much sensory overload. I looked at videos later, and one thing came back to me -- the most vivid thing about the whole launch was the intense light. It was brighter than looking at the sun.
I may come back for one of the next two launches 8) Yowza!!!!!!!!!
John, my roommate in college and his dad were going to the last Saturn launch (’74?), and I said no after being invited. I have regretted that my whole life to date! Way to go!
I still feel privileged.... I saw 11 and 17 live and at an age when it seriously made an impression on me. Also saw the first Shuttle launch. Titusville, the Causeway and Cocoa Beach... will never forget it.
By the way, hijacking a thread for topics such as this is always allowed...
