If you are going to make a L3 shot in the near future. Jeroen @ Cessaroni is offering a truly smokin deal 😛 He wants to move some M2505 WT motors before the end of Oct. If you will buy the 98MM 3gr Hardware set (399.95) or the 4gr. Hardware set (419.95) and a 1gr. spacer, He will send a M2505 for FREE, (429.95) Buy wait there's more...Buy the 75MM 6 gr. hardware set (385.95) and get the M2150 red or M2045 blue loads free. Maybe we can get the M1770 skid also. But there is a catch.... Offer ends for all dealers at the end of Oct. Soooo, call or e-mail me before the end of the month 8) tim4glr@aol.com or (970)985-5172
Gosh, that makes me want to let my certification lapse so I can do the L3 thing again!
By the way, not to horn in here, but 3 Dogs has some killer kits that would fit this scenario nicely 🙂 Get an altimeter from Adrian and you'd have all local supply of goodies!
Tim, is the spacer always 1 grain, or are there 2 grain spacers?
Its always 1 grain, but I believe it is stackable.
OK, I'll bite (nice pun huh?). What has 3 Dogs got for me to consider on my L3? I'm already talkin to Tim about the motor, seems like an awful good deal to let go by. I've searched for a 3 Dogs website but I can't seem to find it.
"I'll bite"... That IS a good pun. Ha! There are two kits that are stellar for L3 - the Competitor 4 and Intimidator 4. They are $199 and $219 respectively. Both are 4" diameter and 75mm motor mount.
The Competitor 4 is at http://www.performancerocketry.com/competitor4.pdf
The Intimidator 4 page is not up yet... same basic kit, with the fins "clipped" rather than being triangular shaped.
BTW, you can upsize these to 5" diameter and 98mm motor mount for $289 (Competitor 5) or $299 (Intimidator 5). I'm building a Competitor 5 right now. It is a terrific kit.
My website is in progress. Thanks for your patience. If you email me at 3dogsrocketry@comcast.net I can send you spec sheets / drawings, etc.
Tim and Cesaroni's offer is awesome!
8) Build the Intimidator 4 , Pro 75 case and motor for around 600.00? An L3 8) for 600.00? How sweet it is!!!
Tim, is there a drop dead date on when you have to attempt the L3?
Ken
8) There is no date that you must fly by. Our friend, Jereon is holding the offer open until the end of Oct 8) The motors offered are on the big side, and I am hoping to work out a nice L3 offer early next year on 2 smaller M's. There is a new Imax 4gr.75 (M1230) and a 98 2gr. White Thunder. Both will team up with 3 Dogs Kits for some great flights. But the best deal, by far, is the one one the table today.
The original deal was to promote Pro75-6G hardware. If you purchase a 6G hardware set, then we will throw in the load for it. If you want you can fly a smaller load with one or two Pro75 spacers. Just make sure Tim knows exactly which one.
If your L3 rocket has a problem fitting a 6G casing, then you may still want to participate in the deal and ask for a 4G or 5G load and borrow a case for the cert. Just an idea. I'm probably hurting our sales here. 😀
Same for Pro98. If the M2505 is too large for your rocket, you can go with the 2G version and a spacer. That motor is not yet certified, but is scheduled for later this month. It will be ~M1630. The 4G version will be available as well later this month. ~M3400 as demo'ed at Ofest.
Any of the just certified L3's on CTI motors: check with Tim for your next reload. I'm sure we can work something out.

Now Doctor J, we should discuss. What I really want is an N1100. I bought (and still have) an M795 for my L3 cert, but ended up flying an AT load because I wanted to keep the altitude down. What kind of deal can we make on an N1100? 😀 😯

Hmmm. That is funny. 🙂 Let me talk to Tim.

Hmm...
I may take one of those M3400s - will it be offered with a similar deal when it shows up later in the month?

Eh, .. Why not. I thought this would the the kind of motor for you, Chris.
This deal is starting to become really popular. Good thing the end of the month is approaching fast.
Jeroen
Excellent 🙂
With the 98-4g and a couple of spacers, I'll have a ton of choice when it comes to 98mm loads for my L3 rocket (which I'm finishing up the design on right now). It should be a good case to have. Have you got a thrust curve for that motor so I could sim it?
