I am a NAR member. This club supports the NAR organization
very well.
In the last couple years I have, many times, wished I had
joined Tripoli instead. The club members tend to lean more
towards Tripoli.
I have found Myself being able to go to some launches but
unable to fly. Because I am not Tripoli. There are many NAR and
Tripoli launches. But My schedule is problamatic.
The way NCR schedules Triploli can fly both days (Level 2
or above) NCR can not.
Many Tripoli Members have came forward and offered to be
a sponsor so I could fly.
Any Way.
I can not afford to be both NAR and Tripoli.
So. I will be sending off My membership in a couple weeks for
Tripoli and will let my NAR membership drop off in October.
Question. Is ther anything I will need to do for NCR while doing
this?
I know I will have to be certified again for Level 1 and Level 2.
Anything else?
Thanks Mike
No need to re-certify - both NAR and TRA will recognize accomplishments with a photo copy of current status on new/ change applications. NCR has tried to make it as easy as possible for NAR members to fly on TRA days - after all, we are all family.
Ya' gotta love reciprocity.... TRA, NAR and CAR all have reciprocity so whatever your certification level or organization, all of the other recognize it equally to their own certifications. Change membership and all you have to do is provide documentation (TRA just requires your NAR or CAR #, not sure about the other way) and you're good to go.
