In past years, I've either said "screw the gas prices" and driven up each day, or only come up for a single day and kicked myself for what I missed.
My son and I would like to bring up our popup camper this year (either Thursday evening, or Friday morning. My concern is getting it 1)down the gravel hill just before the launch site, and 2)back up it after the event.
Our minivan pulls it just fine on the road, but front-wheel-drive mixed with heavy tongue weight and gravel hills doesn't make for much fun.
Any of you guys out there with medium-to-large trucks/SUVs willing to help me drag it down and back up the hill? I can get it to that point. I just don't want to interfere with anyone's flying schedule either.
Thanks,
Ken
BTW, approx. 300lbs tongue, 3000lbs camper, 2" ball
I will be pitching a tent Friday morning. I will not be sleeping in it.
It is Yours to use Friday - Saturday night. I could even toss
in a tent heater and some propane.
I would be taking it down Sunday after the launch.
It was only going to be used to prep, rockets and for anyone
who wants to get out of the sun.
I might be coming out thursday in my truck. Toyota 4 wheel drive
its got a reciever . 3000Lbs dont sound that heavy.
If work lets me and im there I would be willing.
