I finally got my L1 at the June 2nd launch. Unfortunately, I found myself with only a minute or so of tape left on the camcorder. Thanks to boarhog for doing the taping so I could enjoy the flight live. Next time, I'll try it with my new digital camera in "movie mode".

p.s. For some reason, the first play is very jerky, but the second time seems to work.
Very cool and Congratulations! It was an excellent flight!

Glad you got some usable footage! Trying to track that I285(?) motor through the eyepiece was nuts. I'll send you the stills I took once I get my son to hook the camera to the computer.
Was a great flight, tho. Congrats on your Level 1! I didn't realize that was your cert flight when you were building the motor.
Actually, the one you video'd for me was the Cessaroni I212 SS for my cert flight. I flew the I285 Redline later that day.
Thanks again!

Ken, heartfelt congratulations! You have no idea how many attempts it took me to get L1. Excellent flight! 😉
Two attempts Bruce, two attempts. Two attempts only qualify as bad luck and besides, your next cert is the only one that counts, oh wait, you are a 3. I guess you did all right for yourself after all); Glad to have you around Ken. Nice to see some L1 flights in the club, all these L3 certs are starting to scare me, I mean, if there are no 1 certs then there can't be any L2 certs and if there isn't any L2 certs then, you guessed it.
