I have a few friends considering attending MHM. Any idea when the web page for MHM will be up and running? I would like to send them the link.

Within the week...

Thanks Warren, I'll hold off writing them until its up.

The basic facts.... May 4th(friday) though May 6th (Sunday).. Sunday is a Tripoli EX day. (ooops, I mean Research). Pray for good weather on Sunday. I'll be there setting up on Wednesday the 2nd.
Personally, I plan on flying at least one L1300 and an O4500 as well as a J570 and perhaps one or more J350's. Maybe a K240 hybrid or two, and perhaps a G altitude attempt and maybe even an E and F altitude attempt.

Thanks for getting it started. I sent out the site today. I plan on being there and even entering SSSS.

Doug, in comparing notes on this end, it sounds like there will be3-4 of us flying our SSSS at MHM as well. Are you using tracking? If so, is it the Adept? I ask because most of us use the Adept transmitters, and there is some concern that it might be hard to find a time slot so as to not step on everyone else's transmissions.
I can try and round up some alternate tracking if we are all on the Adept... May not hurt to start thinking about this now.
Tim T, (if you are monitoring this thread) would you make sure and bring a few J350s 🙂
JW
No, I'm using Rocket Hunter and I'm not sure the frequency. I can look it up if needed.
Doug
No worries then, Doug -- I know it uses a different frequency vs. Adept. Joe Mullin (Rockethunter) is a great guy, I used his tracker at BALLS a couple of years ago. He makes a great product. Had I not had so many birds outfitted for the Adept, I'd switch to RH.

8) Last year at MHM the J350 was my biggest seller of the larger motors. I sold 8. But with the SSSS I well my need 12-15 this year. This week alone I took orders for 3 M's. Could shape up to be a great MHM! With EX on Sunday, should be a great show. Sounds like we will see many more SSS and SSSS shots this year, very good I think. Busy, busy, spring. 8)
The website doesn't mention it, will there be any chance of a night launch?
D2
Our waiver has been sunrise to sunset, IIRC.... El Presidente would have the lowdown, but methinks that is still correct.
Waiver close is indeed at Sundown which means that all night flights must be on rockets weighing less than 3.3# and flying on a G motor or less.
Warren
Check the rules on the MHM link for SSS. It specifies last years motor. Don't want someone to get messed up on that.

WITH a lighting system... ? 8)
Lighting is HIGHLY recommended, or you'll likely not see it for a year or so afterwards.
Speaking of MHM and Oktoberfest - BOTH pages are up for 2007. Check 'em out. Minutes for the Annual Meeting are up on the website too!
