After reading the posts between Art & Bruce in the Site Suggestion Box / Vender section.
How many members have multiple screen names on the NCR website
Troy
Just the ones that forgot who they were when they registered the first time.
No Troy, I am just a little backwards at the moment, no need to take it any further.

I couldn't tell you Troy. Out of a current 568 registered users, probably 120 or thereabout only logged in once or a couple times at most. How many of them created additional account(s) I can't really say. There are quite a few dead or inactive accounts though and I am likely to purge the site membership database of any user account that hasn't been used for at least a year sometime before the annual meeting. Like Joe said, the most common reason for people to have multiple names is that they forgot the name and/or password they used the first time registering and logging in (or the second, or third...)
The daily, regular userbase of people who regularly stop by the site is probably about 60 people or thereabouts. There are about another 150 new, anonymous visitors a month. Before big events and to a slightly lesser degree, just before monthly launches we have a burst of traffic on the site. We do have very detailed statistics on usage of the site as a whole, but nothing that tracks individual user use data. The best I can tell you is the last time/date someone logged in.
With our other web volunteer, Jeremiah Johnson, we're working on vastly improving the entire website. Major changes won't be visible to everyone until at least the annual meeting in January and possibly later depending on how long it takes to get done and pieces will likely be rolling out over the course of 2008 on an incremental basis.
On the user side, we'll be adding a few PayPal integrated functions including event registration, membership dues, and perhaps a small online store selling club t-shirts, hats and what not. Club Members would be able to edit their membership info online as well as renew their membership, volunteer directly for major events and monthly launches, and submit articles and photos for the website. We plan to add a rocketry Wiki - where all site users can contribute articles on any facet of hobby and High Power rocketry. Many of the biggest changes are things few will see - a secure hidden intranet for the club executive committee to manage the membership, volunteers, equipment maintenance, and all the rest of the club management functions in one central place. Lots of stuff... including an improved look and feel for everyone.

Thanks for the update and all the hard work Warren. I love this site. It sorta gets me my rocket fix between launches 😀
