Just saw this on the TRA forum and wanted to make sure our club was following the correct protocol for our launches since we have NAR and TRA designations.
Reprinted from WVSOAR email:
Launch Declarations by Dual-Chartered Sections
To remind NAR sections of a previous announcement, effective since March
1, 2010 by mutual agreement of the NAR and TRA Boards all dual affiliation
TRA/NAR clubs have been required to send an e-mail message to BOTH TRA and
NAR HQ a minimum of 24 hours in advance of any sanctioned launch event,
providing the dates, and which organization, TRA or NAR, will be considered
the sanctioning (and insuring) organization for that launch. A reply to the
e-mail is not required.
Failure to make this notification may result in denial of any claims by
both organizations' insurance carriers. Also, without this notification
neither TRA nor NAR will extend financial coverage of a portion of the
insurance claim deductible, which both organizations have agreed to do by current
policy under all other circumstances.
I have GOT to pay attention more.

Just want to make sure my A** (and everyone elses) is covered.

That's an affirmative. Hope we never have need for an insurance claim, however, as the deductible is very steep to begin with - something like 5 grand - and the pile of paperwork would be enough to bury our euipment trailer. Now is as good a time as any to remind everyone that flight safety (and all that entails) should be our number one mission on the range.
