That's a picture of me when I was about 9. It was only my second time attending a CRASH launch, on a beautiful sunday about 9 or 10 years ago. I was there with my little A-C motors and watching the experienced flyers launch their F and G models when someone (whose name and physical attributes I can't remember) drove up and displayed that. This picture right here has been in the back of my mind for my entire rocketry career, and now that I'm old enough to participate, as well as having my Level one and two certifications, I'm curious as to whose fault I am 😀 😛
Thanks!
Hehehe
Reminds me of my first view of the really big rockets. I had been a member of crash for a while and was ooohing and aahing over all the massive F and G motors when someone came and displayed a 4" and a 6" rocket. I asked about them for a bit and was hooked 😀
It was 2 years ago at Balls that set the hook in this trout: I'd been to several NCR launches, but nothing had prepared me for the cosmic experience there. The plan to fly mostly G thru I with an occasional J was instantly obselete. I blame Jim Amos for talking me into making the pilgrimage.

Haha Chris, your story sounds like mine! HUGE G motors!!! holy cow!
Then someone rolls up with a hoss like that and my brain goes into overload. 😯 😀
