WOW Mark, that's an awesome paint job, someone has insane artistic talent. That's just a picture, cant wait to see her in person!
Standing ovation!

WOW!!! If I'm lucky my L3 project will fly naked at Octoberfest.
This is going to be a really, really GREAT Oktoberfest! 8)
OUTSTANDING paint job, Mark!!! would love to know more about how that was done...
My project "Rough Draft" is on schedule (meaning it will be done about the night before the launch). This is a lighter / shorter / cleaner version of my 30K project last year. I hope to fly on the same motor and scratch out enough extra perfomance to get into the 6 mile club. Thanks to Warren M. for all the help on v-bagging. A bunch left to do, but it will be done in time.
ok I'd like to say I did the paint, but that's not the case. I had a friend who paints custom harley's do it. I told him my only rule was PG-13. other then that have at it. He was so excited about painting a rocket he only charged me materials, and beer 😀
He said the more he worked on it the more he wanted to put on it and let me tell you the pictures don't do it justice. The more you look at it the more you find.
Problem now is my wife & son say it's to pretty to launch. Fat Chance
I wanted something special for level 3 You only do it once Uhh right? 🙁
Here's another one

Bert (the painter) says he's coming up on Saturday,.
I think he's scared I'll crash it.
Mark, just make sure he doesn't try to catch it to keep it from hitting the ground! 😀
Way...Way Cool
Mark, your L3 definitely fits into an "extreme" category. Talk to Brent McNeely about doing an article for Extreme Rocketry. You'll have Nadine and Ray there taking pictures. Might be good.
P.S. I looked at all the descriptions of posters. I think I fit into the "just can't shut up" category instead of talkative.

I'll be honest that's kind of what I was thinking. But now unfortunately Extreme closed shop. I haven't had the heart to tell my painter.
Mark,
Take the pictures and all the flight info etc., and sent to the boys at Rockets Magazine. With a rocket that spectacular I bet they would find a way to get some pictures in.
Joe, are there any restrictions about using skidmarks at Oktoberfest?
Doug
Every year it's the same answer - we'll have to see what the prairie looks like. It's been very green and wild and now it's gotten hot and dry - lots of fuel for a run-away combustion scenario and then again maybe not. My advice is to bring the sparkies but not necessarily loaded.
