Any one know if Dart Man gona be there ????
Last I heard, Scott, Tim will be there, as he always is, even having to drive 300 miles, or so, to get there. But IF I see a cancellation on this side of that big hill, I'll give him a call to turn back.
Just talked to Joe.
Hes north of Nunn. Said its raining up there. 🙁
He asked me to put it here. 🙁
Yep, we were rained out. Look at it this way... the more moisture we get, the less chance of fire restrictions stopping launches this summer.
Here we go again:
Doug, Joe has your Estes parts.
Ken, Joe has your 29mm airframe.
JW, Joe has your AT Arreaux. Chute's tucked inside, spacing tubes for using different motors are in the payload section.
Done deal.
Another meeting of the Northern Colorado Rocketry Optimist club met at 9 AM this morning, held in the spitting rain at the North Site. Over a dozen members and friends gathered with PMA (Positive Mental Attitudes) only to be slighly discouraged and dismayed at the very low cloud ceiling and continuous but light misty rain. After much discussion and considerations, resolution was acheived with an overwhelming majority of votes, to abort attempts at contesting in the weather. Negotiations for re-scheduling the Pawnee Pioneer Open will be persued. The gathering was not a total loss, however, as Rick McDonald aced his Level Two Cert test and two members registered for the upcoming Mile High Mayhem which coincidently was originally scheduled for this wet weekend. It is what it is was the general lament and at approximately 10:45 our meeting was officially adjorned. On a positive note, the prairie needed the rain and should be in primo condition for Mayhem in three weeks.
Great to see a sturdy group of Rocketeer's.
Just a couple pics.
