I'm in lakewood and was wondering if there are local hobby shops that carry tubes, couplers, centering rings and bulkheads? if so, which brands do they carry?
I went into the Colpar Hobbies in lakewood over the weekend and they only had estes size stuff with one aerotech initiator starter set. was hoping to find someone carrying 4" diameter stuff.
Tim Thomas, aka Lawndartman, usually has or can get everything under the sun. He's at nearly every launch. Also, Bryan Penfold of the Rocket Garden is a local guys who gets me alot of my scratch parts. Tim is Giant Leap Rocketry, and Bryan carries LOC, PML, and Binder stuff. Between the two of them I doubt there is much you can't get.
There is a Hobbytown in Westminster that has some PML and LOC parts.

I've been boycotting HobbyTown since they fired Joe.
Does anybody have either Tims or Bryans Local Numbers? I would rather get stuff localy first. Ill order parts on line if I have to.
For Giant Leap, best thing to do is call GLR and talk to Kent and then tell him to ship the stuff to Tim Thomas for delivery.

Or you can contact Tim here on this board or by PM. Bryan's email can be linked to from his site at http://www.therocketgarden.com/
Tim stocks a very limited supply of GLR products aside from the stuff most readily purchased at launches - motors, shock cord, quick links, cheaper building supplies. If you want honeycomb composite, custom or stock fins, significant airframe or nosecones - you have to get Kent to fab or cut the stuff and ship it to you or to Tim. If it is shipped to Tim, you pay NO shipping and NO sales Tax.
