How much charge escapes out the back of a motor. Or is it sealed by debriss?
Scott, the loss is very little because the hole is small that allows the fire from the smoke/delay grain to light the BP. It is also on one side of the closure or insulation disc so it is also some what directional. Just be sure the charge is big enough for the volume of AF you are pressurizing to insure deployment. Ground testing at times is required to insure this.
I kinda figured that , just some kids thinking left over from childhood.
