The Volunteer Schedule for MHM 2012 seems to be off a bit.
I am off work from 24
29
I will tow thursday afternoon to the North site for set up.
When not launching I am out taking pictures most of the time,
so I will be available all around the area, just screem at me
and I will come running.
I think the schedule that is up is last years??????
I can change around a bit if needed.
thanks mike
But I think it's last year's schedule.
Do we know yet if we will for sure be having MHM this year?
I do know that we are as sure as one can be.
As of the last launch everything was a go. With NCR
and Forrestry Service.
We sure do need the rain W/ no wind.
Well, it rained twice since the last launch and both were good soaks. I'm thinking I'll check the site out this weekend.
This Hewlett Gulch event up here in Fort Collins can't be helpful... from 900 acres to over 5000 acres in 24 hours.

I could be wrong: I thought that since the fire is in Larimer County and the launch site is in Weld, we are safe to fly the rockets; unless, the Weld County Commissioners declare a fire ban in the county, like we have here in Larimer County, ( I can see the fire at night from my neighborhood, and the smoke was so thick yesterday at 5 pm, it looked like fog rolling in except for the ashes that were falling, and the smell) or the governor declares a fire ban for the the state, or certain areas/counties; or the Secretary of Agriculture declares a fire ban.
The smoke was bad here too.
there still is no 'Red flag' for the Pawnee (today)
We have had red flag up here for months. our snow
was 45%. That is not good.
IF I am able to show up, I have the Saturday AM 8-noon LCO shift. Otherwise, have at it folks.
By the way, where is that web crew who supposedly took over the website?
Here's the link to the MHM 2012 schedule.
Please sign up in you are confirmed that you will be there to help out. Also, please do not delete another name that may have already volunteered for a timeslot. (We can't be losing any volunteers)
Your volunteer efforts are HIGHLY appreciated by all flyers!

Thanks!
I won't delete anyone, but for 8 years I have traditionally taken the Saturday AM slots from 8AM until noon and will continue to plan on that LCO slot for both MHM and O-fest until either I burn out or the events do. This year I have financial issues that may prevent me from attending so having other LCO options would be wise. If I make it, I'll be LCO. Not trying to be a bitch about it, but it is essentially the only benefit I claim from lifetime membership and long term participation in the executive committee.
Warren,
We fully understand and respect your interest in LCO for Saturday. It is in the interest of the club, and all the flyers, and is highly appreciated.
If you can't make it, please let me know as soon as possible and we can get a backup. We have had situations in the past where flyers have had to give up their planned, and valuable, flight time in order to fill in for a no show. I hope we don't have to repeat that at MHM this year.
I'll backup Warren if he can't make it.

Fantastic. I appreciate all the sign-ups already!
@MikeS...
Got Thursday and Friday off, so thought I'd come out with my little travel trailer (and grandson) and help with set up on Thursday afternoon and Friday morning with set up.
What time do you plan on being there on Thursday PM?
