I will be there noonish on Thursday.
Set-up will probably not start till twoish.
Some pre-prep before set up.
It's going to be a great MHM.
We all will need to be on our toes. Please take the time when at the pad
prepping, to look around for any problems. Let's be proactive and
take care of any concerns.
I won't be able to make it that early - but will try to be there around 3..
Wish I could make it this year to MHM, but it's my son's high school graduation is Sat. and we have family coming to town. I love rockets but family first. Take lots of photos and have fun!

Any time frame for the high altitude windows yet? Doug Krohn and I have a 2 stage 98-75 Mongoose project we will plan to launch on Saturday and we were hoping for a window from 1000 if that coordinates well with others. I haven't heard if others are planning any high altitude flights. Hopefully the jet stream won't be camped out on top of us! -Sean
Windows will be arranged on a need basis each day - thanks for the head's up on your Saturday plans. That should be doable. Terry Lee will be bringing his awesome trailer with 20' 1515 rail some time on Friday - should be just what you need unless you don't have rail buttons.
If Warren can't make it Saturday I will move my LCO slot up to 10-12.
8) Dave Way (L2 3/4) Mark Hayes (L3) and myself (L3) will be around all 4 days. We are flying lite, some big stuff, but not a lot of flights. We can (and will) LSO, RSO, or help with the pads as needed. We will be at the 'Elk Tent' if needed. Tim Thomas
As of today it has become clear that I will not be able to attend MHM. My apologies to all.
Sorry you couldn't make it, and thanks for letting us know.

Aside from being a bit thin in the wallet, my wife is out of town and I can't find anyone to housesit and take care of my two geriatric animals even during the day. Such is life, not ready to fly anything anyway. Looking forward to O-fest though.
Could someone who is definitely going to be there, and has a smartphone that they know works at the top of the hill, post an update here Friday and Saturday? Long drive for me, and the weather sites don't really tell the full story on wind. If weather site says 8-12mph winds, its all the difference in the world to hear someone say "its great, come on up" versus "we are spending all our time controlling tents, ez-ups and flight cards".
Thanks in advance!

Y'all who live up north -- PLEASE tell me that the 8 hours of drizzle & rain we've gotten down in the Denver area (0.35" so far in Parker) has also fallen on the grasslands.....
Please?
A good soaking would sure help the fire danger this weekend......
We got .31" here in Fort Collins. Looking at a couple sites the North Site got about .03".
🙁

We are set UP and ready to go.
Still dry but a tiny bit better than the last launch. very tiny.
The grass is real short.
Blast deflectors at most of the pads.
Plus double the covering below the pads.
Please bring extra water. There will be 400 gals. on site but
more the better. Some talk about filling the litter containers
and setting them around the area, also.
Everything is aok.
See ya at the launch.
What about 5 gallon buckets with lids full of water placed near the pads? Rip the lid off and pour! Or take the lids off when you get them out to the pads?
