Well there aren't enough weekends in the summer - so we'll have to spend an evening instead.
I'll plan on digging into the trailer and start cleaning and charging batteries next Thursday about 5:30pm. As usual we can do the cleaning out by my barn. I'm located south of Longmont near Hwy 287 and Hwy 52.
If you are able to help then shoot me an email at ed at dawsonmail dot net, or send a PM and I can give you directions.
Ed
Update: We got the rods and rails cleaned, fire extinguishers and batteries charged, trailer lights fixed, created an ample supply of whip clips, and a few more odds and ends accomplished.
We're ready to launch.
Thanks to Jack Matthews, Ken and John Reilly for helping out!
Ed
Double Thank You. Where may the trailer be now?
Mike,
I'll get the trailer back to Pierce in the next couple of days.
I'll miss the first part of Mayhem (or maybe all of it), so I'll get the trailer closer for you. Huge thanks to you for your help in hauling!
Ed
Now all I need to know is when do the powers to be want it there?
😆
Mike,
The trailer is in Pierce this afternoon. I think I heard Joe say a late afternoon setup on Thursday would be great.
Ed
Sounds Good
I'm still working out the details but am guessing a Thursday afternoon set up is going to be the plan.
Deb and I are planning on going up Thursday in the MoHo and help set up.
Outstanding efforts all around. Toilets ordered - three units should be delivered Thursday. I still haven't been told if I get Thursday off from work so I don't know if I'll be there about noon or not until after five.
Just sold some Peterbilt parts to a Rancher down br Grover. Asked him
how the Pawnee lookd. He said it was beautiful. The best he had seen
in a few years.
WOOOO WOOOO 😆
I've told the boss to take this job and.... well hold it for me when I get back. But I will be up Thursday mid-afternoon with little red teardrop in tow to help set up also...
Mike,
Do you know if the white flowers are blooming? I remember being out on the prairie last time and it was amazing.
Edward
Well, there has been a towing change.
The trailer is being towed.
I made it about two miles into Colorado and my timing chain broke.
I will be there bright and early Friday morning. With an abbreviated
launch program. Still will have most stuff I bring, if any one needs
something I may just have it.
I have the fence posts.
I will be flying a K530ss in a mad dog. I have my dog collar in it. If anyone has a receiver Friday that could track for me. It probably will not go out of sight but my week is not going smooth.
See Ya there.
Just an update.
The van got New timing chain and gears, water pump and stat, fuel pump, oil, tune-up, water hoses.
All is running well.
Running like an old fart after taking a shot of tang.
A little tweaking during the week and it will be ready for
action.
