It was a great first day of Mile High Mayhem 2014. It is a shame I will
be at work the next two days.
Mark Lionburger is going to fly his NIKE SMOKE that's always spectacular. I am pretty sure that will be on Saturday and probably an 'O'.
We had an N1100 today from some people from Florida. Went great.
Many, many other wonderful flights.
My Mad Dog on a K530SS went 8714'. perfect up and down.
My other small MHM rocket on an Estes G40 separated at apogee. It repairable and will fly next MHM.
Still fumbling with this new camera. Glad that camera works on it's own
most of the time.
The Pawnee is spectacular.
Here are my pictures from today 6/6/2014

Keep me updated.
Great launch.
I was there for the afternoon on Friday, all of Saturday, and most of Sunday.
Weather Friday was partly sunny with moderate wind. It shifted almost 180% around 3:00 and a storm blew in. Strong winds until sundown, then thick fog.
Saturday morning was foggy until around noon. Mild wind and mostly cloudy.
Saturday afternoon and evening were much better, and we had tons of good flight.
Sunday morning was more of the same, and the afternoon was windy. We all packed up and left when a tornado was sighted on the horizon.
The Nike Smoke "O" never flew, but memorable flights included a M-to-M that went over 33,000, several L1 (and maybe L2?) certification flights, and the two night flights.
My night flight was an Aerotech Arcas on a F50 with christmas lights taped on and a flashlight in the nosecone. The other night flight was a Lightning Bug on a G; it was supposed to be Blue Thunder but must have been mislabeled? 😉
Anyway, a very fun weekend. Pics and video to follow.
Wow, great photos Mike - GREAT Weekend!!! I'm sorting the cards - will get to posting sooner rather than later but there's a pile of 'em. Roughly 70 flights on Friday, twice as many on Saturday and another 70 some on Sunday. Eli - you've got your days mixed up a little but otherwise, all reporting is appreciated.

Must have been tired? 😕
Friday -> Sunday -> Friday?
I will fix my post. Thanks for pointing that out.
I didn't fly anything because of the icky weather, but I did get to see a lot of very cool flights, make some new friends (and see some friends I hadn't seen in a while), and have a little too much to drink, as usual. In other words, it was perfect!
Photos to follow in a day or 3 after I've had a chance to sort them...
