Anyone used this? Looks like it would look awesome as a finish layer on a set if fins.

Yes. I made some 1/16" plate from it a couple years ago for someone. Works just like plain fiberglass pretty much though I recall it being more like carbon as far as wetting it out - the epoxy didn't soak in as quickly and it didn't turn clear like straight fiberglass. Not a problem, but you need to sort of look at it on an angle to make sure it was fully wetted.
Yes, I've used it a few times.
As warren points out it takes a lot of epoxy, and is a bit stiff and not as supple as glass or carbon. I think I still have some in the shop if you want to play around with it.
Seems to me that this would be a very good thing to v-bag... you don't want to sand this stuff. Warren is the absolute resource for v-bagging -- I've been incredibly happy with the stuff I talked Warren into helping me v-bag (Translation - Warren did all the work while I stayed out of the way)
This is very interesting looking material!
John, without those extra hands and fingers in there holding things and mixing epoxy and such, I don't think those jobs would have worked out nearly as well.
By the way, be sure to bring unLeashed with you to the meeting, I want to start working on the strakes and the finish through the Spring.
