Guys, I just had my first experience with AeroPoxy. This material supposedly does better w/ heat vs. regular epoxies. For what it is worth, it is a lot like West Systems from a viscosity standpoint.
My question is with their filler putty, called "AeroPoxy Light". Does anyone have any experiene with it? My questions:
a.) How easily does it sand?
b.) Does it stick well to intervening coats of primer?
c.) How hard is it when you are done with it?
Many times when I do tip-to-tip glassing I end up sanding away most of my work :-O I intend to leave most of the glass in play this time, hence my new technique....
I have not used AeroPoxy Light but based on it's description it seems similar to something I have used called SuperFil. Have you tried it? It is a two part epoxy based set-up with lots of filler. It's ratio is 2:1 and they recommend weighing or measuring each part and not just guessing.
It has the consistancy of frosting for a cake which may be thicker that AeroPoxy Light. Superfil can be put on thick or spread thin to fill weave. It can be VERY easily sanded. They only drawback is the cure time. It's not like Bondo that can be sanded in 15 minutes. I usually wait overnight before I sand. It is intended where you need to fill but weight is of primary concern.
After sanding, pirmers stick very well to it and it does cure hard. You could make a mark in it with your fingernail but it is "solid". SuperFil also notes that it is NOT intended for structural bonding, just filling. I hope this helps.

You may also want to consider West Systems 410 Microlight filler. You can add it to any brand epoxy and depending on how much you add you can get any consistency you want from syrup to peanut butter.
If I am trying to fill the weave on a flat surface like a fin I'll make it very thin and brush it on. If I want to do a fillet I'll make it more like frosting and use a spatula.
Either way, the curing time is still based on the epoxy you use. It sands easily even when only a small amount it used.

I hope this helps.
