I am not glassing My next rocket. (Accelerated Motion) BUT.
I do want to put a coating on the grain of the leading edge
of the fins. More for looks. A nice smooth edge.
What is best. Fiberglass, Epoxy?
Will just the resin for Fiberglass be good?
Thanks Mike.
Aluminum foil tape. Looks shiny.

West Systems epoxy with no additives (well, other than hardener 😉 ) is good and runny. It will wick into those wood fins almost as good as CA. Mix a small batch, brush it on, let it set a bit (not completely) and repeat until it doesn't soak in any more. Sand off the excess and you're good to go.

Or mask and paint with a urethane sealer like what's used on wood furniture. Maybe even stain first? And some folks have successfully used Future Floor Wax instead of clear coat but it takes a lot longer to apply and get a nice shiny finish.
If you use West Systems, you can heat the stuff up to about 105 or so along with the wood and it gets real runny - cures more quickly, but it WILL wick into the wood very nicely.
