I'm building a 7.5" upscale Big Daddy for Octoberfest. My question is will 1/4" ply with or without fiberglass be OK for the the fins. The other option are GLR composite board, G10, or something you guys tell me about.
To give you an idea of what it will be launched on I'm planning some combination of a J with airstarting 2 H's or I's, or a K with 2 airstart H's, I's or J's.

I'd go 1/4" ply with 2 or 3 layers of 6oz. glass. That way you could do a 54mm motor mount and feel reasonably confident with K's and L's.
