Hey Folks!
I got one of the new Estes Interceptor E models for Xmas and I want to fly it on the biggest 24mm I can stuff up there. Those F's weight about 10g more than the E9 so I am concerned about having enough nose weight. As I am too poor to own Rocksim, I was hoping someone could run a sim and tell me how much nose weight I should add.
While I have my doubts as to whether this rocket could stand up to G power (I see shredding pods..), I'd be real interested in the results of a 29mm sim as well (keeping in mind that I can't read Rocksim files..)
I hope to bring this and an Andromeda clone to MHM08 so I can finally, after 35 years, see these rockets fly!
Thanks!
You don't need Rocksim to figure this out. If it flies well on a E-9 just put a new unburned E-9 in the rocket with your chute packed as if it's ready for flight. Check the CG and mark it. Now remove the E-9 and replace it with the new motor and check the CG again. Add weight in the nose until the CG returns to original point. You can do this a the field using clay or crimp on fishing weights.
As far as delays us your best judgement base on previous flights.

Great point!
Thanks, Ron. Haven't had my head up a rocket in awhile, I should have thought of that...
